I want to be a teacher because I love to watch children learn, develop, and grow. I want to be a teacher because I want to play an active role in giving all students access to quality, caring, engaging education. The part I can play in providing quality education to all children is to hold myself to the highest of standards and work on constantly bettering myself as a teacher. My favorite part of the Inspired Teacher Certification Program has been its emphasis on personal reflection and growth. I intend to remain as intensely reflective as I have been this year and to use this reflection to challenge myself to seek professional support and development to become the very best teacher I can be. My hope is that I can play my small part in the big movement of improving education for children in our county. And that starts with being accountable to myself and my students, and by doing my best to provide a student- centered, inquiry-focused, challenging, and fulfilling education for all students I encounter.
